Slap City, Brawler de desplazamiento lateral, recibirá pronto el modo Historia

Ludosity’s 3D side-scrolling brawler, Slap City, is still currently in Early Access over on Steam. However, the developers are slowly and steadily adding new content to the game during its Early Access run. One of the big upcoming features for the game is a brand new story mode.

The announcement for the upcoming mode was made via a new trailer that was posted up on the Ludosity YouTube channel en agosto 10th, 2019.

The story mode features platforming segments and challenges in scrolling levels, not unlike the Subspace Emissary mode from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Players will face off against various enemies, as well as travel through both horizontal and vertical challenges.

The level variety is quite creative, giving gamers challenges that range from traveling through the streets and hopping off the top of the cars, to scaling up rotating blocks in what looks like the inside of a pinball machine.

It’s not just about bopping heads and outrunning enemies, you’ll also have to utilize items to open up areas and strategize your way through the stages. There’s even a neat little segment where you have to rapidly hop through sinking platforms across lava while a giant boss chases you down.

Unfortunately we don’t know when the new story mode will arrive exactly, there’s no date rolled out on the game page, but in the meantime the game is discounted by 75% off for the next couple of days over on the tienda de Steam.

The base game itself is very much like Super Smash Bros., and it supports both local multiplayer and online multiplayer. So even without the story mode there’s still plenty of gameplay present within the title.

The game is still in Early Access, though, and it will stay in Early Access for the next couple of months. But they do plan on getting the full game out either by the end of 2019 or early 2020.
