El inicio de la NBA 2K League se pospone debido al coronavirus

Corona-chan is indiscriminate when it comes to wiping out any and every kind of public event imaginable. One recent event that has been postponed is the NBA 2K League’s e-sports tip-off, which will now take place online in lieu of the studio games that were originally scheduled to be broadcast.

The news was covered by The Esports Observer, in a post that was published on March 12th, 2020.

If you click through the link over to the Esports Observer website, they further elaborate how the NBA 2K League postponed the start of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus.

NBA 2K League managing director Brendan Donohue explained the reasoning behind the delay in a statement, saying…

“The health and well-being of our players, teams, and fans is of paramount importance. We will continue to evaluate the situation and do everything possible to bring the excitement of the NBA 2K League to our fans through remote preseason exhibitions and other content. We look forward to sharing additional information about these exhibitions and the start of the 2020 season as it becomes available.”

The website then goes on to list all the other major e-sports competitions affected by the coronavirus, which includes but is not limited to the Overwatch Liga, la Call of Duty League, and the various League of Legends Leagues across Europe, China, and Korea.

Otros eventos como E3 2020 y SXSW have also been axed.

Basically, every converged event that has been taken over, usurped, or compromised by the Regressive Left has been negatively impacted by the coronavirus. That’s not to mention that 2K Games turned the NBA 2K franchise into a gambling den, so it serves them right.

Here, there are no tears shed.
