Du Lac And Fey es un juego de misterio sobre un inmortal que caza a Jack el Destripador

Du Lac & Fey: Danza de la muerte is an interesting new game from Salix Games currently going through the development process and seeking funds to help meet its goal.

The London, England developers have a goal of $52,000 and they have about 42 days to go – as of the writing of this article – to reach their goal. They’ve managed to rack up about $8,283 so fa.

The game puts players in the role of the immortal knight, Sir Lancelot Du Lac, along with the cursed sorceress Morgana Le Fey. The duo attempt to solve the murders of 1888 in Victorian London.

The two find themselves attempting to venture about London looking for clues, including coming across Mary Kelly, the occult, and the truth behind Jack The Ripper.

You can check out the pitch video below to get an idea as to what Salix Games is going for.

The game is in large part a traditional point-and-click adventure title. You’ll explore the environment, look for clues, talk to the townsfolk, and interrogate suspects. Much like other games in the genre there will be multiple choices and options available for your dialogue, along with various outcomes that sway the direction of the conversation and the investigation.

In addition to the traditional point-and-click elements, there’s also some more unique flavors in the form of the combat system, which seems to take cues from turn-based RPGs. We oftentimes don’t get to see combat implemented into games like this, so it’s nice to see that Salix is willing to experiment.

Most notably, however, is the game’s graphics. Du Lac & Fey: Danza de la muerte has an almost clay-like look to the characters with marionette style movements. It reminds me of some of Nick Park and Steve Box’s old work, or Martin Baynton and Ross Hastings’ visual art-style retooled for a more mature audience.

A few tweaks with the renders or post-processing and I think the game might stand out even more.

The Kickstarter is mostly to help finish off and polish up the title, as well as create ports for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
